The long awaited new album, GRANDAD FRED'S MARROW
contains a wonderful collection of both traditional and original material beautifully crafted to produce an hour of listening pleasure.

The title track, “ GRANDAD FRED’S MARROW” is a jaunty tune dedicated to Graeme’s Dad and his amazing ability to produce an abundance of the most delicious vegetables, oh and marrows.
A supernatural theme becomes apparent with refreshing interpretations of traditional material like, “CAMBRIC SHIRT”, the chilling,”WIND COLD TODAY”, “OUTLANDISH KNIGHT”, and “THE DEVIL AND THE FEATHERY BRIDE".

Both Ali and Graeme have the ability to deliver a song as story tellers, holding the audience’s rapt attention as the tale unfolds. Songs such as “THE DRAYMAN”, “OLD MOTHER LUDLUM and “WIND COLD TODAY” paint pictures
Ali has a quality of voice that is both hypnotic and transfixing. Her song “ TIME GOES SO SLOWLY”, based on conversations with local RAF wives as their husbands were sent to Iraq, is a poignant reminder of the effects that war has on those left behind.

A collection of both boisterous and sublimely crafted tunes such as “LORD CHIGLEYS JIG”,”THE LOST WEEK”,”WALS VOOR POLLE and THE WASPS NEST” and the magnificently muscular “RIGHTS OF MAN and KING OF THE FAERIES” complete what is likely to become a classic album standing the test of time and being played over and over again.
